First Steps with Us

All relationships at least start with an introduction. During the initial phase of contact, we try to accumulate as much information about you and your aspirations for your career as possible. We’ll determine if you’re a perfect fit for our extensive network, and use several assessments to assist in marketing you.

01: Create a Profile

Firstly build a “New Profile” and acquire access to our huge network of jobs, hiring opportunities, thousands of our company clients, and most significantly, a dedicated team of Hiring Advisors.

02: Hiring Advisor Meeting

Our Hiring Advisors complete an assessment based on the information provided when creating your profile. Then if we match your ability and expertise with opportunities in our network, we’ll contact you to meet with one of our Hiring Advisors at an ActOne Entertainment Staffing Branch.

03: Skill Assessment + Background Checks

Next, based on your previous employment background and interests, you may be asked to complete several online skill assessments, this grants our Hiring Advisors to speak more definitively on your behalf.

04: We Market You

Then our Hiring Advisors use our extensive network to market you. We’ll communicate to our client companies and Hiring Managers who we think would profit from your unique skillset and expertise.

The Direct Hire Program

At ActOne Entertainment Staffing our Direct Hire program locates already qualified talent in full-time positions at a number of our competitive client companies working in all sorts of different fields. This program could be right for you if you’re looking for long-term work, and have the expertise and skills suited for these positions.

01: Direct Hire Position Available

When your Hiring Advisors match your attributes and qualifications with a Direct Hire position comes available, we will set up an interview with the employer as well as giving you all the details.

02: Employer Interviews

When an employer takes an interest in your skills and expertise and what you can offer them, your personal Hiring Advisor will set up an interview. We will guide you through the process by giving you the necessary advice to make you as attractive as possible for the employer.

03: Follow-Ups + Feedback

Following the interview your personal Hiring Advisor will contact you as well as the client company to see how things went. Did you feel the interview went well? Were there any alarming concerns we should talk about?

04: Salary Negotiation

If you were to have any particular salary requirements that need to be discussed. If this is the case your Hiring Advisor will happily negotiate terms on your behalf if you feel awkward in doing so.

05: You’re Hired

If the employer feels like it’s a perfect fit and you are equally happy with the match, your personal Hiring Advisor will put in place the arrangements, and you can officially declare yourself ‘Hired’!

The Temp-To-Hire Program

The Temp-to-Hire Program is beneficial for both our client companies and you to evaluate one another during a trial working period (usually lasting 90 days), and if it seems like the right fit then it can lead into a full-time position with an employer.

01: Temp-To-Hire Position Available

When your Hiring Advisors match your attributes and qualifications with a Temp-To-Hire position comes available, we will set up an interview with the employer as well as giving you all the details.

02: Begin Evaluation Period

Next is the evaluation period in which it will be based at our client company, while also being an employee of the ActOne Entertainment Staffing. During this time you will gain information on the workplace, your job role and duties as well as the environment surrounding the company, all before you commit to the full time position.

03: Fill Out Your Online Timecard

When you have finished your workday it’s recommended to long into your online timecard and fill in your hours. We want to ensure you get paid and paid on time, which were certain you do too.

04: Update Your Availability

On a Temp-to-Hire program it will pay out every Friday. You can either choose to pick up your check at your local ActOne Entertainment Staffing Branch, or have the money directly deposited into either your checking or savings accounts.

05: Conclude Evaluation Period

When the evaluation period is over and you have showed them that you’re a hardworking and dedicated employee the client company will decide whether to employ you or not. Your Hiring Advisor will ensure to keep you in the loop while this process is going on.

06: You’re Hired!

The evaluation period turned out to be successful and our employer hires you. You will then be transferred onto their payroll and undergo any steps in order to make your employment official.

The Temporary Program

We also offer a third option, in the Temporary Program our client companies often have a demand for staff on a temporary basis to help fill gaps in their workforce, or to step up for an increase in demand. If you are in need for a flexible schedule or need work quickly, our Temporary program may be the right fit for you.

01: Temporary Position Available

When a temporary assignment becomes available they tend to vary in duration, for example one may last up to a day, whereas another could last several months. You’re Personal Hiring Advisor will reach out to you to check of your availability and whether or not you’ll be interested. They will then send you the necessary details about the role, for example the location and the duration of the assignment.

02: Accept Position + Start Work

Next you will arrive at your temporary place of work in accordance to the details provided by your Hiring Advisor. It’s also good to note that temporary positions can lead into full time employment so it’s good to make a good impression.

03: Fill Out Your Online Timecard

How do I get started?

To make sure that you will be considered for thousands of unadvertised opportunities each week simply upload a resume. After that you have finished that, you will be transferred to your dashboard where you can modify the positions we may be able to call you for by completing your Profile and Priorities. It’s a brief process that will help us determine how we might best be able to help you.

Where can I get career tips and advice?

Our Navigating the Hiring Process workbook includes a number of insider expertise and tools that have been used by thousands of career seekers to increase their potential of interviews and job offers. As well as this if you start a profile your hiring advisor will give you additional tips specific to your aspirations and situation.

Interviews and Status Updates
How do I reschedule or cancel an interview appointment?

Call your local Career Center to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Please be courteous and allow 24 hours for any cancellation or re-scheduling.

How can I get a status update on my application?

To check on the status of your application, you need to contact the recruiter who posted the ad to which you were responding or the local Career Center you selected as your primary within our profile.

Recruiter information can typically be found at the bottom of the ad you applied to, and you can find contact information for your local Career Center here.

Form I-9 / E-Verify Information
E-Verify Participation

The ActOne Group of Companies is proud to participate in E-Verify. E-Verify is a web-based system that allows enrolled employers to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States. E-Verify employers verify the identity and employment eligibility of newly hired employees by electronically matching the information provided by employees on the Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, against records available to the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
